The Structures Research Group is part of the Department of Civil, Computer and Aeronautical Engineering. The research areas of the Group include earthquake engineering, laboratory and field testing, seismic assessment and rehabilitation of masonry and concrete structures, architectural heritage, masonry arch bridges and steel-concrete composite bridges, and industrial plants, advanced composites (FRP/SRP and FRCM/CRM/SRG), self-sensing smart composites, 3D printing, modelling of materials and structures, computational mechanics, modelling of soil-structure interaction, computer vision-based survey and monitoring of structures and infrastructures. The Group is in charge of BSc and MSc courses in Civil Engineering and is part of the PhD school of Civil Engineering.
