HOUR RECEIVING

Marialuigia (Marilù) Sangirardi is a Post-Doctoral research fellow at the University of Roma Tre since late 2018. She is a civil engineer and received her PhD in Civil (Structural) Engineering in 2016 from the Technical University of Bari and the University of Minho, where she spent a visiting period as part of the ISISE Historic Masonry Group. She has been working as scientific consultant in international research projects on risk assessment (NAM project) and as research fellow in Bari, Pavia and Rome.

Her research interests include mathematical modelling of the mechanical behaviour of structural masonry, development of constitutive laws, numerical simulation of various boundary value problems, under both static and dynamic conditions, with particular emphasis on historical constructions, low-impact retrofitting techniques (FRCM systems) and soil-structure interaction.  She serves as reviewer for international journals in preservation, structural engineering, and mechanics.

She is part of the Structures Research Group of the Engineering Department lead by Professor Gianmarco de Felice and she is also involved in teaching activities in post-graduate courses on rehabilitation of historical constructions.
