Sourabh Vern is a post-doctoral researcher in the FIRST-WIRE project, supported by the EU research grant RFCS-2019-899299 at Roma Tre University since 2022. He received his PhD from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur (MNIT), Jaipur, India.
The project aims to develop a lightweight steel-based wire by blending stainless steel with high-strength carbon fibers and to showcase hybrid cable’s exceptional performance in cable-stayed bridges, evaluating its effects on construction, seismic performance, aerodynamic stability, and the bridge’s overall life cycle.
